Day 01: Arrive Varanasi
Welcome to Varanasi, India. After you clear customs and immigration, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the reserved hotel. The rest of the day is free for you at leisure. After lunch, start for an excursion to Sarnath, en route, visit the museum. Visit the Buddhist temple and see Bodhi Tree. Return to your hotel in the evening and stay overnight.
Day 02: Varanasi Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for a boat excursion on the river Ganges, and enjoy the look of several activities of this famous city. See and feel the belief that will tell you the story about this city by the holy dip and worship offered by the people here, also see the practice of yoga and different exercise. Come back to the hotel for a healthy breakfast, Later on, go to explore the city and visit Bharat Mata temple, Hanuman Temple, the famous narrow street of Varanasi, Viswanatha Temple and Banaras Hindu University. Have an overnight stay at Varanasi.
Day 03: Varanasi - Khajuraho
Ganges River is a sacred river for Hindus. They consider the water of Ganges to be pure and purifying. They bath in the water and pay homepage to their ancestors and the Sun God. This early morning, you will take a boat ride on the holy Ganges River to witness this incredible scene. Then transfer you to the airport for flight to Khajuraho. After settling down in the hotel, you will have a half-day tour in Khajuraho. It is the capital city of Chandela Kings and known for its large amount of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and the Jain Saints. Among them, Chausath Yogini Temple, Mahadev Temple, and the Chitragupta Temple are the most important.
Day 04: Khajuraho - Orchha - Agra
After breakfast, transfer to Orchha. It is a small town founded in the 15th century AD. Orchha is surrounded by a huge complex of well-preserved palaces and temples, like Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, and Chaturbhuj Temple. You could also climb the roof of the camel shelter "Uth Khana" for a beautiful view of Orchha. Then continue driving to Jhansi Railway Station. You will take an express train to Agra. Our guide will pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel.
Day 05: Agra
Today we will lead you to see the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and an optional visit to Itimad Ud Daulah. No Indian tour can be completed without visiting the Taj Mahal. We will arrange for you to take a horse carriage ride from the parking lot to the Taj Mahal, set amidst the landscaped garden. You are suggested to stroll along with the wonderful garden before entering the fascinating marble monument. Then visit the Agra Fort, which was the heart of the 16th-century Mughal dynasty. This complex of architecture was surrounded by a red sandstone fort facing the River Yamuna. Inside the fort, there are imposing palaces, courtyards, temples, stupas and so on. The last stop today is the Tomb of Itimad Ud Daulah, sometimes called the "Baby Taj", which is often regarded as the draft of the Taj Mahal.
Day 06: Agra - Jaipur
This morning, transfer you to Jaipur. On the way, you will pass Fatehpur Sikri. It was built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century as the capital city, but it was abandoned 13 years later due to the scarcity of water. In Jaipur, after assisting you to check into the hotel, we left the rest of the day free for you to explore. Jaipur is called as "Pink City" as almost all the walls of buildings there are painted in pink. The city was well planned with wide, straight avenues and lanes in a grid system.
Day 07: Jaipur
The narrow and winding trails leading to the hilltop Amer Fort are crowded with a parade of elephants carrying tourists to the entrance of the fortress. The elephants are elegantly draped and painted with beautiful colors, a tradition dating back to over 600 years. You will take the chance to ride the elegant up to the entrance of the fortress. After Amber Fortress, you will back to Jaipur City to visit Maharaja City Palace. Later you will visit the Jantar Mantar, the largest and best-preserved ancient astronomical observatory in India. Then you will continue to see the City Palace. The complex of the palace is located in the heart of the old city. It is a unique and striking complex of palaces, courtyards, gardens, pavilions and also a museum. Part of the palace is still the royal residence. Another Palace, Hawa Mahal, also called "Palace of Wind", is popular all over the world for its magnificent architecture. It was actually a facade for the royal women looking down the streets without being seen. Now it is one of the most famous landmarks of Jaipur. Then you will go through Pink Rose Garden and business centers of Jaipur to have a free shopping tour in your remain time.
Day 08: Jaipur - Delhi
After breakfast, drive for 5-6 hours back to Delhi. On the way we will stop over for coffee breaks or photo stops as you request. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to Delhi.
Day 09: Delhi Sightseeing and Departure
Your memorable tour starts from the Old and New Delhi. In New Delhi, you will visit the Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb, which is the first garden-tomb in India. Then drive down the Rajpath, meaning the King's way. It is the ceremonial boulevard in India, holding the annual Republic Day Parade and other very important celebration. Rajpath runs through the India Gate (India's memorial of the unknown soldiers). Along the road, you will also see the President's House and the House of Parliament. Afterward, tour the Lakshminarayan Temple, which is dedicated to Lakshmi and Lord Narayana. In Old Delhi, you will first visit Raj Ghat, memorials of Mahatma Gandhi. Then you will be driven past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk to visit the great mosque of Jama Masjid. For the rest of the time, have a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk which is one of the most popular shopping areas in Delhi for jewelry and saris.
