This road trip covers Shimla, Sangla, Kalpa, Tabo, Kaza, Jispa, and Leh enabling you to enjoy beauty and culture, all while embarking on an adventure. Travel Route

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi & Transfer to Shimla
Your journey begins in Delhi, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a scenic drive through the foothills of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. If time permits, take a stroll along the famous Mall Road and enjoy the colonial charm of the town. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 2: Exploring Shimla & Kufri
After breakfast, head to Kufri, a small hill station near Shimla known for its beautiful landscapes and adventure activities. Later, return to Shimla and explore local attractions like Jakhoo Temple, Christ Church, and the bustling Lakkar Bazaar. Spend the evening at leisure before an overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 3: Leisure & Sightseeing in Shimla
Spend another day enjoying Shimla at a relaxed pace. You can visit The Ridge, Chadwick Falls, or take a heritage walk to admire the British-era architecture. In the evening, visit Tara Devi Temple or explore the local markets for some souvenirs. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 4: Shimla to Sarahan
After breakfast, drive towards Sarahan, a peaceful Himalayan village offering breathtaking views of the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak. En route, pass through Narkanda, known for its apple orchards and pine forests. On arrival, visit the famous Bhimakali Temple, an architectural marvel of the region. Overnight stay in Sarahan.

Day 5: Sarahan to Sangla
Today, continue your journey into the beautiful Sangla Valley, one of the most picturesque valleys in Himachal Pradesh. The drive takes you through winding roads along the Sutlej River, with spectacular mountain views. On arrival, check into your hotel and visit Kamru Fort, a historic site with Tibetan-style architecture. Enjoy the serene surroundings before an overnight stay in Sangla.

Day 6: Excursion to Chitkul
After breakfast, take a short drive to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Walk along the Baspa River, interact with the friendly locals, and soak in the stunning mountain landscapes. Spend some time exploring the traditional wooden houses before returning to Sangla for another night’s stay.

Day 7: Sangla to Kalpa
Leaving Sangla behind, drive towards Kalpa, a peaceful Himalayan village known for its incredible views of the Kinner Kailash range. Visit Roghi Village, a quiet hamlet offering a glimpse into traditional mountain life. Enjoy a mesmerizing sunset over the snow-capped peaks before settling in for the night in Kalpa.

Day 8: Kalpa to Tabo
After an early breakfast, embark on a breathtaking drive to Tabo, entering the Spiti Valley region. Witness the dramatic shift in landscapes from lush greenery to barren, high-altitude deserts. Upon reaching Tabo, visit the famous Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient murals and spiritual significance. Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 9: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar Monastery
Today, continue towards Kaza, the administrative center of Spiti Valley. En route, visit Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliffside overlooking the Spiti River. Arriving in Kaza, spend the rest of the day exploring the town’s vibrant yet peaceful atmosphere. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 10: Key Monastery & Village Exploration
Spend the day discovering some of Spiti’s most iconic locations. Start with a visit to Key Monastery, a centuries-old Buddhist gompa offering panoramic views of the valley. Then, drive to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, before heading to Langza and Komic, two of the highest motorable villages in the world. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Kaza to Jispa
After breakfast, set off on a thrilling drive towards Jispa, crossing the majestic Kunzum Pass. If conditions allow, take a short detour to visit Chandratal Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning reflections. The journey continues through the breathtaking Lahaul Valley, arriving in Jispa by evening. Overnight stay in Jispa.

Day 12: Jispa to Leh
Today’s journey takes you across some of the highest motorable passes in the world, including Baralacha La and Tanglang La. The drive from Jispa to Leh is filled with awe-inspiring landscapes, ranging from deep valleys to vast plateaus. Arrive in Leh by evening, check into your hotel, and rest after an adventurous day.

Day 13: Exploring Leh
Spend the day discovering Leh’s rich history and culture. Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the bustling local markets. If time permits, explore nearby attractions like Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Enjoy your last evening in the mountains before retiring for the night.

Day 14: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, taking back unforgettable memories of your adventure through Himachal, Spiti, and Ladakh.
